Disability Support at Our Career Development Center

Day Programs and Community-Based Services

NCIA’s Day Program provides community- and facility-based programming for adults with disabilities, both intellectual and developmental. Participants can choose from an array of programming, including job development and employment training, career discovery, volunteerism, recreational activities, and community engagement.

Activities focus on skill building in socialization, communication, life skills, math and reading, self-care, self-advocacy, problem-solving, safety skills, and health and wellness training. Programming is individualized to reflect each person’s preferences and goals, as specified in their Person-Centered Plan (PCP), empowering participants to take control of their lives and achieve greater independence. The Day Program primarily serves Baltimore County, Baltimore City, and Prince George’s County, but there are program participants from all over Maryland.
