The director of DDA Michael Chapman and Maryland State Secretary John Colmers paid a visit to NCIA recently to see first hand the fantastic work being done there. Their visit took them to one of the many homes NCIA operates for individuals with developmental disabilities. There they met Wayne, an individual with a long history of institutional placements. However, since coming from Rosewood to NCIA he has led a happy, productive, and full life. He has been gainfully employed in the community with the help of NCIA Career Development Center. Mr. Chapman and Mr. Colmers were amazed to see the progress that has taken place in Wayne’s life and they look forward to a long and prosperous partnership with NCIA. The passion for what we do is evident in the lives of those we serve.
