Robinette came to NCIA over nine years ago looking for a new challenge
where she could directly help people in her day-to-day job responsibilities.
Working in NCIA’s Human Resources department gave her that
opportunity. “This is the first time I’ve worked in
a position where I’m working directly with people and helping
people on a daily basis,” she said. As part of her responsibilities,
Robinette is in charge of payroll, as well as employee benefits,
such as health benefits and workers compensation insurance.
Over the years, Robinette has learned a great deal, most notably
professionalism and how to work with all types of personalities.
She also has learned to be adaptive and versatile, and to be neutral
and fair. With those attributes, Robinette has made herself known
throughout NCIA as someone you can go to for help. “I’m
about people and doing what I can do for people,” she says.
“All of us have needed support at one time or another, so
it’s a give and take. I’m happy that I have the opportunity
to give back.”
Professionally speaking: “Professionally,
I’ve grown considerably. I have learned so much – my
team members have really helped and mentored me. I have been able
to take on new challenges to achieve a lot of goals I’ve set
for myself.”
Personally speaking: “I have formed great
relationships here. I even met my husband while working here, and
we were married in NCIA’s Youth in Transition School!”
NCIA is: a family, full of people wanting to make a
difference
