Thomas Pointer joined NCIA in 1990 and is a corporate vice president and executive director of the NCIA Adult Residential and NCIA Adult Career Development programs.

In this capacity, he oversees the services and training provided by over 200 staff to 80 adult residents and over 115 career development clients. His direct responsibilities include the operations, finance, supervision and compliance directly related to these programs.

His prior management experience includes both the corporate and non-profit sectors. Prior to NCIA, he worked for 15 years with Ryland Homes as a plant manager. His non-profit experience includes Oakview Treatment Center, Charter Behavioral Health, and Sheppard Pratt Hospital. He attended Baltimore City Community College.
